A word from Pastor Bill Russell

Christianity and church can pretty much be misunderstood in our world today. It is our hope that you will relax, open your heart and come and experience the GOD of the Bible. He created you and wants to be involved in an intimate friendship with you.

I hope you sense GOD here today. It is so easy to forget how much He loves you; how He longs to hold you close to Himself. Our goal is to help you learn how very much GOD loves you no matter who you are or where you have been. The members of SWCC come from many different backgrounds. We are all at different places in our faith walk.

We meet not only to worship but to love and help each other in practical ways as we live in relationship to GOD, our families and our community.

Have questions?

Sign up for our one hour “Why church?” class. It’s fun and… involves food!!

Blessings,
Pastor Bill Russell

Flickers of Faith By Annette McDaniel Worn out from shopping and waiting for my ride, I noticed a weathered old bench at the edge of the park. It was occupied by a middle-aged man who seemed to be dozing but I needed to sit, so I quietly lowered myself on the far end of the […]

An Unknown God

Adding To The Problem

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. ~ 1 Corinthians 13:4
